| EXCLUSIVE: CHARMED SUMMONS Y&R VIXEN |

Scoop! You read it here first, suds fans: The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford — who holds two Daytime Emmys for her portrayal of redheaded she-devil Phyllis Abbott —will guest-star on Charmed this fall in the fourth episode of the WB witchfest's eighth and likely final season.
Appropriately enough, she'll play a woman possessed. "The episode is called 'Desperate Housewitches,'" Stafford tells TVGuide.com. "My character, Mandi, is a lot like Bree Van De Kamp in Desperate Housewives. She's always a perfect mom. Her demon side comes out when she puts down Piper (Holly Marie Combs) with nasty zingers. We've all met those people who smile sweetly in your face like, 'Hi! I'm gonna f--- you over.'" TVGuide.com was the only press permitted on set to watch Stafford tape her scenes and — no surprise here — she did Marcia Cross better than Marcia Cross! But is she concerned the Housewives diva might feel, well, cross if she ever sees this Bree send-up? "Are you kidding me?" the sasspot responds. "I think Marcia Cross is great and I think she'll be flattered." Since Aaron Spelling is the überproducer behind both Charmed and Stafford's old Fox nighttime soap, Pacific Palisades, she was practically a shoo-in for this gig. "I couldn't come in for the audition because I was working late [on Y&R]," she recalls, "so they ended up offering it to me! I guess they knew I wouldn't screw up the job." Look for Stafford's diabolical episode to air on Oct. 16. Source: TV Guide. |
